First pomegranate festival in Saveh

The first edition of a pomegranate festival has been held in Iran’s city of Saveh, the top producer of the fruit in the country.

The first National Festival of Pomegranate Production and Export kicked off on Wednesday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Iranian officials, foreign ambassadors, merchants and producers.

Saveh is the largest producer of pomegranates, which are famous across the country.
